Save Eveleigh

Community meeting to Save our Neighbourhood
Alexandria Hotel, 11am Saturday 28th November

Greedy developers are circling

  • The NSW Government’s Urban Growth plans include 20 storey apartment buildings at the North Eveleigh site (near Carriageworks and Darlington).  There are no targets for affordable housing, no guarantees about sustainability and a serious risk to open space. There are no guarantees that these new and expanded neighbourhoods will have the critical infrastructure they need such as schools, sporting fields, medical facilities or public transport.
  • The Government has sold off Australian Technology Park to a Mirvac Commonwealth Bank consortium, and there are huge development pressures on this iconic area.
  • The Alexandria Hotel is saved for now!

Find out what you can do to stop the government selling our community assets to greedy developers.

Please join us at a community meeting with representatives of REDwatch, Friends of Erskineville and Alexandria Residents Action Group, as well as specialists in rail heritage and experienced campaigners against privatisation.

Come along and find out how you can join your neighbours and the broader community who care about protecting the liveability of our city.
