We have long known that Erko Station needs a lift. And local residents and the Friends of Erskineville are also keen to see a second entrance to the station at the southern end. It was great to able to meet up with some folks last week to talk through the options and receive their petition.
It makes sense for a second entrance to be considered as part of the design process for the accessibility upgrade that is coming. I will be writing to the NSW Transport Minister with the petition and urging him to incorporate this request in to the overall station upgrade design. Thanks to everyone who signed the petition - and to the Friends of Erskineville for all you do in the interests of our local community.
