We’re in a housing crisis. Rents and mortgages have skyrocketed, there are not enough affordable homes and millions of people are struggling to keep a roof over their head.
Join Greens Deputy Leader and Senator for NSW Mehreen Faruqi and Newtown MP Jenny Leong to for a critical housing doorknock to spread the word about the Greens’ plan to tackle the housing crisis.
Federally, Labor’s only plan for housing is to gamble $10 billion on the stock market and use what’s left to build just 30,000 homes, through their new Housing Australia Future Fund bill. Federal Labor also doesn’t have a plan for renters.
Right now, we have a powerful opportunity ahead of the Federal Budget to show Labor that people want them to do more to tackle the housing crisis, but it will take all our efforts to raise awareness and demand more.
