From Jenny:
It's happening! In the next couple of weeks my partner Kristian and I will be having a baby.
So starting today I will be taking a few months of maternity leave.
While that means that I personally won't be in parliament, at local events, or in the media for a while, I can assure you that the work done in our office and in the NSW Parliament will continue.
Lydia, Dan, Cathy and Mithra, in our Newtown Electorate Office, will continue to provide direct support to constituents and ensure that we work on matters impacting our local area. Please don't hesitate to contact them by emailing [email protected] or calling 9517 2800.
Meanwhile, my Greens colleagues will continue to represent our progressive values in the parliament, advocating for the interests of our communities and campaigning on the issues that matter to us all.
And without a doubt, they will all continue to support the ever-growing community campaign to stop WestConnex and build stronger communities so that we can stand up to the attacks on our democracy from the NSW Baird Government.
It is an absolute privilege to represent you as the Member for Newtown and while I'm excited about taking on the new challenge of parenting, I look forward to continuing to work with you and our community in parliament and on the streets when I return from leave.
Cheers,
Jenny
