M4East EIS Submissions

Thousands of residents have made submissions to the WestConnex M4East Tunnel Environmental Impact Statement.

Those submissions have raised concerns with a range of issues that will have negative impacts on communities across Sydney, including traffic co0ngestion on local streets, destructions of bushland and greenspace, destruction of heritage listed buildings, increased carbon emissions and air pollution and the forced eviction of hundreds of people from their homes.

Local residents were invited to make their submissions through the office of MP for Newtown Jenny Leong and MP for Balmain Jamie Parker. Close to 1500 submissions were received by the two offices, delivered by hand, post, email and online.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to make a submission and raise their objections.

The submissions were packed into a big box and delivered to NSW Planning and Environment for their response.
