Watch the Motion to Stop WestConnex in Parliament!

On the 6th of May 2015, Jenny Leong gave notice of a motion to halt any activity on WestConnex until the Business Case and EIS are made public.

MS JENNY LEONG to move—

That this House calls on the Government, in the interests of good governance and financial

accountability, to suspend all activity on the WestConnex project until the full business case and

Environmental Impact Statement are made public.

The motion comes up for debate this Thursday 13 August. We're inviting activists and any other interested folk to join us in parliament for the debate to make sure that every member of the Legislative Assembly knows how much the community cares about this disasterous road plan.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Unfortunatley, there's a possibility that the motion will be postponed. If it is, we will send a text and an email around that morning to let everyone know.

We'll be meeting outside for a group photo before going into Parliament House.

You can't wear clothes with slogans into parliament - so unfortuantley people will have to cover up any 'Stop WestConnex' t-shirts when in the chamber.
