Senator Simms recently joined the Greens federal MP team and it is our pleasure to be hosting him in Sydney for a night of drinks and discussion around LGBTIQ rights.
Robert is the first out gay man to represent SA in the Federal Parliament and is the Australian Greens’ spokesperson for Higher Education, LGBTI and Marriage Equality, and Water and the Murray Darling Basin.
On the night you’ll also have the chance to meet Charlotte, Sheena and Chris, the three new Co-Convenors of the NSW Greens LGBTIQ Working Group and hear how you can get involved in up-coming events and campaigns.
The Working Group is looking for engaged, passionate members who can help with Mardi Gras Fair Day, our Mardi Gras Parade entry, Greens’ policy review, engagement with regional LGBTIQ issues and setting LGBTIQ campaign priorities for 2016. Come along to find out more.
