Thanks to the hard work of many volunteers, concerned residents and local businesses, we've now collected 10,000 signatures on the Stop WestConnex petition.
That means we will have a time scheduled in parliament to raise the community's objections to this dirty tollway project. From hazardous asbestos removal to unauthorised drilling to sham community consultation, there are many issues that need to be highlighted.
The petition is scheduled for debate this Thursday afternoon 19th November.
However the Parliamentary schedule can change at any time, even on the day, so we need to be able to reach you quickly to keep you up to date - please leave us your email address and phone number.
Here’s the schedule for the afternoon:
- 3:30pm: Gather at the top of Martin Place at Macquarie St for briefing. Start moving into parliament.
- 4:15pm: People to be seated in chamber.
- 4:30pm: Debate starts.
We’re asking people to assemble early, so we can run through the process of how the debate will happen before we head into the Chamber. We’re expecting a big group, so we’re allowing plenty of time for everyone to get through security and get seated.
We’re looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!
