Jenny Leong MP has recognised the diverse and inspiring One Voice Redfern Choir which is made up of over 40 members from Redfern, Waterloo and surrounds.

Jenny Leong MP asked the Parliament to recognise the amazing work, and incredible achievements of The Social Outfit, and pay particular tribute to former CEO Jackie Ruddock whose hard work and dedication to ethical fashion has had such a positive impact on our local community. 

Jenny Leong MP recognised the 1 year anniversary of the Surry Hills Community Connect in Northcott Public Housing estate and congratulated all those involved in the success of the Community Connect.

Jenny Leong MP spoke to Parliament to acknowledge the contribution of campaigner, activist and "Godfather of Mardi Gras" Ron Austin, who recently passed away at the age of 90.

Jenny Leong MP, Greens Member for Newtown has recognised the continuation local community groups make to local democracy by when they hold candidate forums in the lead up to elections.

Congratulations to the local women, creators, makers, designers and retailers from the electorate of Newtown who participated in Fashion Revolution Week. 

Jenny recognises the street library movement and students from the Newtown Public School Art club who decorated the street library for the Newtown Electorate Office. 

Today we acknowledged the incredible work by Parliament on King supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the Newtown electorate.
