To the Minister for Transport:
Our community needs public transport that is accessible to everybody.
Parents with prams, people in wheelchairs, older people and anyone with a mobility issue shouldn’t have to struggle to get to work or the shops, visit friends or travel to medical appointments.
Redfern station is one of the busiest stations on the Sydney trains network – but most of the platforms only have stairs. There are no lifts or ramps at Macdonaldtown, Erskineville, Stanmore, Petersham, Lewisham and St Peters train stations.
We urge you to commit to upgrading our local train stations to make them fully accessible as a priority.
Act Now: Accessible Train Stations
Our Stations Are Still Not Accessible?
Successive NSW governments have failed to address the critical need for accessible train stations. We are calling on them to upgrade every station, so everyone can use them.
