It was such a wonderful feeling to stand with vital disability advocacy services today outside NSW Parliament - so good that they’ve received a commitment of funding - but it’s crucial that this is ongoing.
We have stood by these amazing people since the beginning - putting the pressure on the Premier to meet with them and address their concerns - and we will continue to stand by the campaign to ensure that they continue to be funded to do their vital work in to the future.
The Government this week announced that they will continue funding much needed disability advocacy, information and representation funding for a further 2 years. Now we need long term, ongoing funding for disability advocacy services in NSW - we are committed to continuing to support this campaign until it’s locked in!
